The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a 2015 action game developed and published by CD Projekt, based on Andrzej Sapkowski's series of fantastic novels The Witcher. It is a sequel to the 2011 game Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Played in an open world with a third-person perspective, players control the main character, Geralt of Rivio, a monster hunter known as a witch who, on the run from the Wild Hunt, is looking for his missing adopted daughter: an alien force determined to capture and use his powers. Players tackle many dangers with weapons and magic, interact with non-player characters, and complete main story quests and side quests to gain experience and gold points, which are used to enhance Geralt's abilities and purchase equipment. Its central storyline has several endings, determined by the choice of players at certain moments of the game.
